Finding the Best Rates – It Is Cheaper To Fly And Even Gas Has Gone Down, The Price To Rent A Car Has Gone Up

It seems like even though it is cheaper to fly and even gas has gone down, the price to rent a car has gone up. When you go on a vacation it’s pretty easy now to get a good deal on a flight, but once you get there you pay and arm and a leg for a rental car.

It is essential to realize that there are so many aspects and factors that they use to figure out the price of that car or van rental, and with rental agencies decreasing their fleets this is making vehicles in much higher demand overall. With this rise in demand for car rentals, agencies realize that vehicles to rent are becoming more scarce and they are taking this as a (sucks for us but good for them) chance to raise their rates.

Even when you have a discount (like a lot of companies that rent a lot do) or a coupon you found online or got from someone, the price is still going to be pretty steep. There is such a high demand so that they are able to increase their prices.

As a matter of fact, many people who usually book vehicles for their holiday travel are finding that vehicle rental rates have skyrocketed so much over the past 12 months that for the same amount that it would cost them to rent a vehicle they can actually pay for round trip airfare for four adults. It is important to realize this when you are booking your travel plans, because these days driving is not always the most economical option.

If you are booking a car hire for your next trip, then shop early and with coupons. Also, be sure to consider other options, like traveling at less hectic times of the year and renting from a location that is a little ways away from the airport. Also, look at other forms of public transportation. It may be cheaper to take a bus or train to your holiday destination instead of renting a vehicle to get you there. Shop wisely, it really does pay and if you aren’t happy with the rates you are being quoted than look for a cheaper alternative.
